Osmosis Skincare offers a new way to treat common skin conditions by shifting the focus from excessive exfoliation to remodeling of the dermis. Each innovative skincare product – whether it be a cleanser, serum, moisturiser or mask – contains clinical ingredients with a holistic, non-inflammatory approach. Free from potential irritants such as parabens, gluten, SLS, toxic chemicals, phthalates and artificial colours and fragrances, each product works at the source of skin’s imbalances to deliver results visible at the surface.
The unique philosophy, created by Dr Ben Johnson, is based on treating skin ageing and skin concerns at their source, creating permanent change that will restore a beautiful and healthy skin. The skincare products work to strengthen the immune system, increase skin circulation, improve scar remodeling, repair DNA, replenish growth factors, re-establish the skin barrier, restore antioxidant levels and activate collagen.
In the words of founder Dr Ben Johnson; ‘The skin is a remarkable organ with tremendous potential. We maximize this potential and the skin’s ability to perform. Osmosis works at the source to empower the most change possible.’
Osmosis is one of the most scientifically advanced skincare lines available. Not only because of the remarkable technology used in the products, but also due to the exclusive patented approach that works in partnership with the skin. One of the most critical aspects of the process of skin rejuvenation is picking the right target. The ability to address the source of skin conditions is what makes Osmosis quite unique.
There are about 100 trillion cells in the human body and each cell is protected by a phospholipid bilayer - the major component of the cell membrane. It acts as a gate allowing only certain molecules to pass through into the cell. The dermis is where the majority of ageing and skin concerns occur, but most skincare does not penetrate into the deep layers of the epidermis or dermis. Osmosis has solved this problem by coating the ingredients with a liposome (phosphatidylcholine) which increases penetration by 600%. This liposome resembles our own cell surface, which aids in safe and gentle penetration into the cell.
Zinc Fingers are used by all cells in the repair and formation of DNA, RNA, and proteins. They are composed of an atom of zinc that holds two loops of protein together to form a 'finger'. Osmosis uses Zinc Fingers to aid in the repair of damaged DNA by 'turning on' the repair gene so the damage can be cut out. Repairing the damaged DNA impacts several aspects of skin health including rebuilding of collagen, pigment normalization, prevention of scarring, repair of broken capillaries and skin healing.

ACCLIMATION OF PRODUCTS
Start by introducing one product at a time when switching to new skincare products. It takes approximately 2-8 weeks for the skin to acclimate to new products, and for you to see an improvement. Initially, you may experience worsening of the skin before it gets better; dryness, impurities and blemishes are common. This cleansing is normal and happens because the skin is wearing off the previous products. If you experience lasting discomfort, stop the treatment and contact one of our skin therapists. Do not use Vitamin A products if you are pregnant or nursing, taking prescription acne medication, or in conjunction with waxing, chemical peels or resurfacing procedures. Always use a high, broad spectrum sunscreen when using Vitamin A or AHA/BHA. Don not use salicylic acid (BHA) if you are allergic to aspirin.
