Uneven Skin Texture
Uneven skin texture is often a result of dryness and insufficient exfoliation of the skin. Regular use of a scrub or body lotion with exfoliating acids helps remove old skin cells that have stuck on the skin surface making it reflective and structurally rough. Well-maintained skin becomes softer and allows your moisturising body lotion to work more effectively deep down.
Keratosis Pilaris can also be responsible for the skin feeling dry and greasy. This is a disorder in the formation of the stratum corneum of the skin, that is, the top layer of skin. When skin is renewed, old skin cells become trapped in the hair follicles' passageways so that a small flaky plug is formed, a so-called horn plug. The condition is mainly seen around the hair follicles on upper arms and thighs, but can also occur on the cheeks.
