Wrinkles & Fine Lines
The 'eyes are the window to the soul'. Usually it is heat - and certainly sleep deprivation, stress and lifestyle that leave their tracks just around the eye area in the form of lines, dark rings and swelling. Facial expressions also lead to signs of ageing as wrinkles appear here earlier than elsewhere. When you laugh, speak and show emotions you use all the muscles of your face, which then form lines and wrinkles - and this is beautiful and completely natural. With increasing age, however, the skin's collagen and elastin (the skin's building blocks) become weaker, leading to fine lines. But with the right care you can counter early signs of ageing, and best results can be obtained if you adapt your eye cream to your skin's particular condition and your age.
Ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and retinol help to smooth and strengthen the skin. Do not forget to protect thin skin against the sun's harmful rays, to maintain the skin's resilience and counteract deep wrinkles. Daily UV protection is important to prevent the skin's collagen from breaking down and wrinkles from appearing unnecessarily. Eye cream can be used morning and evening. Remember to customise your choice of product for your particular skin. Choose something more caring and richer at night and lighter and cooler during the day to reduce swelling and other signs of fatigue. Every now and again it is definitely beneficial to give intensive treatment with an eye mask. Keep in mind that you only need a small amount of eye cream per application - about the amount of a grain of rice. Pat in gently and avoid stretching the skin.
